Teachers and Students on Republic Day 26/01/2023Nayak Nityanand Sai Government College, Aara (Erstwhile Government College, Aara or Government Naveen College, Aara) is situated in a beautiful hilly village – Aara of Jashpur District of Chhattisgarh. The village is located near the Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand Border and is on eastern side of Jashpur district. The college was established in July-2012 and at thatt time, it was functioning from the campus of Govt. Higher Secondary School, Aara, with 39 students. The college campus was then moved to Govt. Industrial Training Institute (I.T.I.), Aara campus in Oct-Nov-2014 and it was, till February-2017 college was functioning form this campus. In February-2017 college got his own campus and building in Thuthi Amba Road which is around 2 Kms from Gandhi Chowk, Aara, just above the naturally beautiful spot of Thuthi Amba Ghat. The new campus is covered around 12 Acres. Nayak Nityanand Sai Government College, Aara is affiliated with Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya, Sarguja (Erstwhile Sarguja University) Ambikapur CG. This institute runs 5 programs viz. are (1) B.Sc. with Botany, Zoology, Chemistry Group, (2) B.A. with Geography, Economics, and Sociology group (3) B.Com. with compulsory subjects. Trio programs are 3 year full time courses with annual examination pattern and (4) M.Sc. Botany & (5) M.Sc. Chemistry with CBCS Pattern. Located in tribal dominated area the college is serving as a hub of higher education because no other higher education institute is located around 20 Kms radius from the village.
Vision
The vision of the institute is to become a center for learning, inspiring the learner andto make them knowledgeable, skilled and value based citizen for the progress of society and become a good citizen through education. This is also reflected by our motto – Dhiyo yonah Prachodayat meaning intellect that inspires and Aapt Dipo Bhawa – Be a light unto yourself.
